Principal Data Scientist EUR100,000 - EUR150,000 salary REMOTE (must be based in Germany) Health care, life insurance, bonus, training budgets, The roleI'm working with a brilliant Director of Pricing & Risk that has on opportunity to join their team to revolutionise the Insurance industry with some of the best Data Scientists in the world. You'll be part of a team of some of the best minds in the world, most holding PhDs from leading universities to help solve real world problems with risk and pricing of financial products. There are 15 people in the pricing team and they are looking to continuously improve pricing models to ultimately develop an open-source based pricing software. Therefore, this position would ideally require you to have a very deep Data Science knowledge, due to bringing the pricing strategies into production with immediate P&L implications and track the uplift that's generated in real time. To be the successful Senior Data Scientist / Principal Data Scientist you will need: PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics or Physics Strong Python coding ability You'll ideally have gained experience in an actuarial context or pricing & risk modelling You will have a good level of German as well as English Machine learning experience in Linear Models and Tree Based Methods. Able to deploy this in a business environment.They have a team of Data Engineers so you wouldn't necessarily need to have experience of deploying the models, however this would greatly improve your application The interview process on this is a simple 3 stage process with a case study in the middle of previous work completed as an example.
