Full Stack, TypeScript, React, C#, Distributed systems - Senior Engineer - Fintech - Remote, HQ in London
PaaS / Payments as a Service
We are looking for a senior Full Stack Engineer who can come onboard and help with the full development lifecycle with new services being written in Typescript, React and .Net Core. Working within a small team of 12 Engineers (with plans to double within the next 18 months) you will have the opportunity to create new features and help design microservices architecture. Adding further high-quality code for a platform that provides access a set of payments products used globally.
My client is looking for an engineer with an interest working across the Full Stack and expertise in their current set of technologies; Typescript, React, .Net Core, SQL, ElasticSearch and more. Proficiency with JS/TS coupled with C# are the must have skillsets - but further than this, the client is just prioritising the hiring right technologist, someone who will be passionate about helping expand their applications and platforms across a complex distributed system.
Experience
5+ years experience with JavaScript (ideally some commercial TypeScript too)
Microsoft technologies; .Net Core, C# and experience working on microservices
React, Redux
Azure, distributed systems, ActiveMQ or Akka would be a plus
Nice to have
Experience working in small / medium sized teams and early-stage environments
Interest/experience in emerging technologies
Experience of working to Agile methodologies
Strong communication skills
Problem-solving skills
Experience working within multi-disciplinary and cross functional teams
A background leaning towards either Front End or Back End specifically would be fine - but some commercial experience having combined both in a single role at some stage, will be imperative. JavaScript, TypeScript and .Net exposure within payment solutions would be beneficial but Fintech expertise or specific domain knowledge is not a 'must have' - a passion for writing code for complex technology focused products and an interest in the latest technologies is all you need to bring to the table.
