Is so, them please see below… Plant Manager Wigan Up to £70,000 + Package Huxley Engineering and a Global Name in Industrial Process are looking to recruit a Plant Manager to lead their Wigan Plant, as part of their growth, succession planning & development strategy. Reporting into the UK Ops Director, the Plant Manager is responsible for ensuring that budgeted production levels are achieved and maintained, utilising the maximum cost-effective use of available resources, as well as ensuring that operations on-site are conducted in accordance with company & legal requirements. The Plant Manager will be responsible for: Leading Site Operations for the Plant (including planning and delivery of site production plans)Driving continuous improvement using LEAN ToolsOversee and drive HSE Standards across siteOversee Maintenance of site, working with the Maintenance Manager to drive Preventative Maintenance across the Site. For this Plant Manager role, my client is looking for a Plant Manager with the following: HNC / HND or Degree Level in an Engineering or Manufacturing disciplineHolds NEBOSH Certification or similarPrior Plant or Direct Operations Management within a Continuous Industrial Process, Manufacturing or Production environment (ideally Hazardous Industry such as Heavy Engineering, Steel Mills, Glass Float Lines, Cement Works etcProven leadership experience and capabilityAdequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)Knowledge of quality and environmental standards such as ISO 9001 AND 14001Previous experience in continuous improvement/lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, etc. to drive improvement.Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of Health, Safety & Environment rules and policies, as well as experience working with local authorities, including Environment Agency etc.Engineering project planningKnowledge of maintenance routines For the successful Plant Manager, a salary up to £70,000 + Car Allowance + Package is on offer and this Plant Management role is commutable from Southport, Preston, Bolton, Wigan, Manchester, Warrington, Liverpool, St Helens, Ormskirk, Westhoughton, Leigh, Hindley Green and Salford.
