Senior QA Engineer (JavaScript Cypress Kafka microservices) Are you an accomplished QA Engineer looking for an opportunity to accelerate your career in an industry-leading technology-powered organisation?

Their main website reaches 6.5 billion views a month and holds a vast amount of valuable data. Here, you'll be part of a high-performing team that deliver quality solutions that satisfy millions of end users on one of the most popular, highly visited digital property websites in the UK.

As a Senior QA Engineer you'll drive best practice and champion quality across the entire QA operation. This exciting role encompasses ownership, autonomy and leadership responsibilities, as you'll proactively mentor and nurture the growth of others in your team, whilst remaining technically hands-on.

Currently, the applications are built using SpringBoot and React microservices in conjunction with legacy monolith applications that are written in Java with Oracle DB, ElasticSearch, Kafka and Couchbase.

From working with developers to maintain, expand and document automated test frameworks (written in JavaScript) to collaborating with the wider QA community to execute manual and automated regression on new applications, your responsibilities will be diverse, impactful and rewarding.

*Please note: this company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process during the current social distancing measures. You'll join colleagues in London offices in due course, with continued flexible work opportunities including 1-2 days a week working from home*

Requirements:

You have strong commercial experience as a QA Engineer and solid experience of the testing lifecycle

You have exposure to running/ debugging automated test suites within JavaScript frameworks

You have experience working with any of the following from a software testing perspective: JavaScript/ SpringBoot/ React/ Java/ OracleDB

You have experience working with microservices

You have Kafka messaging experience

You have mentoring/ leadership experience (and are keen to step into a role that includes this)
