Add in a beautiful place to work and it could be your perfect package. St Richard's is a registered charity based in Worcester, located in the stunning county of Worcestershire. We care for people with a serious progressive illness including cancer and neurological, respiratory, cardiac and renal conditions. We aim to improve patients' quality of life, helping them to live as fully as they can to the end of their lives, however long that may be. The hospice also offers dedicated, support for a patient's family, loved ones and carers. Services are provided free of charge to the patients. We receive some funding from the NHS but primarily we rely on charitable fundraising to support our work. St Richard's employs some 230 paid staff and approximately 900 active volunteers. During the course of the pandemic, our services have been able to continue and transform remotely due to the support of our established IT infrastructure. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Head of IT to develop our IT services further to ensure sustainable business and clinical responsiveness across both our clinical teams and our Trading Company and support our digital strategy. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop a strategic vision for IT as well as being prepared to be a point of contact for user support and the resolution of hardware and software problems. The Head of IT will work closely with the SIRO (Senior Information Risk Owner), Senior Management Team (SMT), Caldicott Guardian, Heads of Department, Information Governance Lead and Data Protection Officer and will line manage a small team of IT Technicians. The role is based at our Head Office in Worcester and, due to its nature, on site working will be required, although there will also be opportunities for home working when appropriate.
