Java Developer (SpringBoot Kubernetes microservices TDD) Are you a skilled Java Develop looking for an opportunity to accelerate your career in an exciting role that encompasses ownership, impact, cutting-edge tech and Greenfield development?

You could join this pioneering technology company and support the evolution of their main website that has over 6.5 billion visits a month and is leagues ahead of competitors in their field. You'll also have the opportunity to make an impact on a healthy pipeline of Greenfield development, including two brand new products that are built on industry-leading knowledge and expertise.

In this Java Developer role you'll join a collaborative Agile Scrum team where you'll a range of modern tools and technologies including Java (legacy is in Java 8, moving to Java 11 and 15), SpringBoot, microservices, Kafka, Gradle and more to maintain and enhance the core website with a key focus on maintenance, scalability and performance standards. They are currently transitioning from Docker to Kubernetes, and are always looking for new ways to optimise, advance and improve their technology and processes.

You'll benefit from a highly collaborative development environment where all contributions are valued and knowledge sharing is the norm. You'll be supported to reach your full potential, and will have 10% dedicated self-development time a week.

  • You have experience writing applications in Java (Java 8, 11, 15) with SpringBoot experience
  • You have experience working on large scale live applications/ websites
  • You have microservices experience
  • You're familiar with Docker and Kubernetes
  • You have good working knowledge of Agile methodologies like Scrum and TDD
  • You're a proactive team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
