Head of Vendor Management - Berlin, Germany 6-month contract (likely to extend to 12 months)

Are you an experienced Head of Vendor Management from a tech background looking for an immediately available contract role for a period of 6 months?
My client are a leading tech company based out of Berlin with offices in multiple countries. They require a Head of Vendor Management who will be responsible for ongoing management of their purchasing strategy.
You will take overall responsibility for purchasing and cost estimating, ensuring that purchasing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs. You will be tasked with managing relationships and negotiating with key suppliers at a senior and strategic level, negotiating contract terms with key suppliers and maintaining current supplier relationship and evaluation processes to measure their performance.The ideal candidate will have knowledge and technical understanding of the consumer tech industry, underlying tools, processes, and market standards along with experience in leading a purchasing function. You will have a proven track record in strategic purchasing leadership delivering effective purchasing strategies, policies, processes, and systems. You will support preparation of annual non-personnel OPEX budgets and forecasts, and all Capital Expenditure proposals, as well as ensuring compliance with customer and legal requirements. Experience in negotiating contracts with AWS and SAP is highly sought after.
