About The Role We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to be a subject matter expert (SME) in the End User Computing arena. You'll be responsible for the design, build and implementation of technical solutions which satisfy business needs and align to agreed IT infrastructure roadmaps. You'll work closely with all areas of IT and Change including; Architecture, PMO and fellow delivery and operational teams. This role is primarily standard office hours based. However, some out of hours work may be required to implement solutions. We're looking for someone who is flexible and can add real value and make a difference and has significant experience in delivering IT services and solutions. This role is key to ensuring the Society is best placed to face the challenges of today and tomorrow and as such you will work in a demanding environment and therefore you will need to have strong technical and interpersonal skills, including excellent communication abilities.
About You Key Skills: Advanced Microsoft product knowledge and experience including:
Windows 10 SAC & LTSC
Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise
Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
o (Creating & troubleshooting; Packages, Programs, Task Sequences & Applications)
o Co-Management
Microsoft Endpoint Manager
o Managing Cloud Policies and Configurations
Microsoft Defender and Threat Resistant Technologies
Checkpoint Endpoint Security Suite
Highly proficient with Active Directory, including managing GPOs, and securing and configuring endpoints with group policies
Extensive experience of configuring, securing and deploying Microsoft Client Operating systems configuration (e.g. Windows 7 and 10)
Experience of being key contributor to EUC-relevant major projects (e.g. Windows 10 upgrades)
Strong Powershell skills The following skills are desirable: Experience of AWS Workspaces and other virtual environments
Experience of MS Azure
Good networking knowledge
