Senior Control Systems Engineer is required for a client in Warrington who work within the O&G, Manufacturing and Pharmaceutical industries.

This is a staff position to start in February offering a good basic salary and benefits.

Your role will involve the design and implementation of process control system solutions. You will be involved in all project lifecycle activities, including fault-finding, the preparation of design specifications and reports, software programming, project execution, testing, installation and commissioning.

The work will be varied and every project a new and exciting opportunity to use and develop different skills, both at a technical level and at a softer project execution interpersonal level.

Essential Skills

Significant experience in one of the following mainstream PLC or SCADA systems is required:Siemens S7/300, S7/400, S5 orAllen Bradley SLC500, PLC5, ControlLogix, CompactLogix orSCADA systems such as WinCC, InTouch, FactoryTalk View, iFIX.Applicants may not have knowledge of all these systems but should have a good knowledge of at least one PLC and one SCADA system with sufficient practical experience to be able to work with other types of systems as dictated by project requirements.

Desirable Skills

An understanding of instrumentation signals and the ability to fault find on I/O subsystems and I/O subsystems that use buses such as Profibus, ProfiNet, DeviceNet/ControlNet and EtherNet.

Knowledge and experience of implementation of projects using the following standards, IEC61508, 21CFR11, IEC61131, EN54, S88.We cannot provide sponsorship for this role.
