Lead Software Developer London to £80k

Lead Software Developer / Solutions Engineer (Java Python Integration) *Remote Interview WfH*. Are you an experienced technologist seeking a role where you can remain hands-on and also manage a small team, take ownership and interact with clients?

You could be joining a technology driven software house that work with some of the world's largest commercial brands and digital agencies with a focus on white labelled solutions that allow broadcasters to play out live sports and allow users to record, pause and rewind live TV events.

As a Lead Software Developer you will manage the Solutions Engineering team responsible for client implementation and integration work. You'll spend around 50% of your time managing the team, providing code reviews, mentoring and 1-2-1s and the other 50% hands-on. You'll partner with the Product team and with clients to define best practice, create architectural designs and code for large pieces of work with a focus on great user experiences.

The company is currently able to offer a fully remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; following social distancing measures you'll be based in new offices in the vibrant West End of London with casual dress code, regular social events and flexible working opportunities (2 days a week at home).

Requirements:

Strong software engineering background with a good knowledge of modern web applications

Current Java (and / or Python) coding skills

Experience of leading small teams / projects

Ideally you will have a good working knowledge of AWS and DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to form strong client relationships and manage others
