Joining us in this newly created role within the Digital, Data and Technology Directorate (DDaT), you will be the face of the Strategy and Design team, acting as the bridge between technical and non-technical colleagues to drive digital change across the organisation. Providing leadership to the five Service Owners who deliver our products for the wider DIT, you will collaborate on multiple products and services, handling high-profile initiatives such as the ongoing development of great.gov.uk - a vital platform that encourages investment in the UK. Leading the development of the DDaT strategy, you will see to it that we are delivering on our promises, and you will work with wider departmental colleagues to promote the benefits of our portfolio. Helping steer projects and programmes to completion, you will bring internal stakeholders and private sector partners together, developing end-to-end services and tools that will ultimately help UK businesses prosper around the world.  

This exciting opportunity requires a great deal of front-faced engagement and outreach, so you will excel with us if you have exceptional communication, leadership and networking skills. With the ability to contribute to senior governance boards, you will have a background in managing high-performing teams and delivering against challenging agendas. Boasting in-depth experience of shaping strategic programmes of work within the DDaT sector, you will enjoy shaping digital and product strategies, and you will have comprehensive design or systems thinking. As such, you will be comfortable handling agile product cycles, and you will be keen to bring emerging technologies to the wider DIT. Crucially, you will be well versed in managing stakeholder expectations, using your exceptional influencing capabilities to achieve the best outcomes.
