Senior Network Engineer - Network Engineer, Network Controller, Network Operations Engineer, Network Consultant, Internet Service Provider, telco, Juniper, Cisco, FortiGate, Firewalls, VxLAN, Broadband Remote/Rotherham - circa £60,000 per annum plus benefits My client, a leading and fast-growing telecommunications business based in Rotherham are looking to recruit an experienced Network Engineer to join the team and to work on scaling out both their enterprise & customer networks. What will you be doing?Scoping testing and implement new projects.Configuring IPSec, MPLS based VPN's and firewall filters.Working with Juniper MX, QFX, SRX, Cisco ASR1K's & FortiGate.Capacity planning within our Enterprise & customer network.General day-to-day management & maintenance of infrastructure.Liaise with other departments within the group to ensure issues are dealt with swiftly.Communication with venders, 3rd party suppliers & end-users.Involved with expansion of automation with coding of tools.Creating and updating documentation.Supporting on-call rota. What skills/experience do you need? JNCIP/CCNP level but certificate itself is not mandatory.At least 3 years prior experience working in as a senior network engineer.Knowledge of Linux Ubuntu.Experience with DSL including wholesale termination.Routing & switching: MPLS, BGP, OSPF, L2/L3VPN's, VxLAN, EVPN.Automation knowledge with any of the following programming languages: JS, Python or PHP.Knowledge & experience of running high preforming FreeRADIUS.BONUS: Experience with cloud hosting including Windows 10, Windows server 2019.
