Ofgem works on behalf of energy consumers to ensure that every household and business in the UK can rely on a safe, affordable and environmentally sustainable energy supply.
E-Serve is our delivery arm, and manages a number of high profile environmental programmes that support our commitment to creating a net zero energy supply. Our flexible working career opportunities are incredibly varied, so we are committed to recruiting talented people from a diverse range of professional and personal backgrounds - bringing different perspectives and experiences to our work.
This is a great career move for an experienced Product Manager to support the management of the products and systems that enable the administration of the social and environmental energy schemes that Ofgem manages. It's an opportunity to take on a role in a fast-paced environment, where you'll have the autonomy to make decisions and recommendations, working in an agile project management environment. You'll lead on the management and prioritisation of the product backlog; ensure user stories accurately capture business needs; act as a key liaison between developers and end users, and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) activities where necessary. It's a highly collaborative and friendly working environment, where you will be encouraged to really immerse yourself in producing great project outcomes.
We expect that you'll already have experience of working in an Agile development environment, where you have developed your knowledge of database management and software development life cycles. You'll be adept at process mapping - enabling you to translate business requirements into high quality products. You'll need highly developed organisational skills that enable you to prioritise competing demands, and the interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive stakeholder relations, managing expectations effectively. You should also be experienced in planning, executing and managing User Acceptance Testing activities.
Ofgem is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We embrace diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All employment is decided on the basis of open and fair competition, merit and business need.
