QA Test Engineer London to £40k

QA Test Engineer (Manual Networking TCP/IP). Would you like to work on cutting edge security / encryption products and progress your career within a friendly and informal environment? You could be joining a successful and expanding software house based in Central London that provide cyber security products to a range of finance, government, defence, law enforcement and pharmaceutical companies.

As a QA Test Engineer you will gain an indepth understanding of the product and partner with software developers, product specialists and other test engineers to write effective, efficient tests and actively participate in Agile processes such as peer reviews and Sprint planning. You'll remain hands-on whilst taking a lead role, taking responsibility for organising the team and ensuring the right test approach is taken with a focus on the Network Security product.

Driven by technology this company can offer a remote interview / onboarding process and work from home during the current social distancing measures with a gradual return to the Central London offices where you'll join a diverse, international team, working in a relaxed software house environment (i.e. non-corporate, casual dress, table football, break-out areas etc.) with some continued flexibility to work at home.

Requirements:

You have strong manual software testing experience, having used a range of test methodologies / approaches to write efficient and effective tests

You have experience of testing networking technologies with a good understanding of TCP/IP; you're comfortable with things like ping, ip4/6 and ideally will have used tcpdump / Wireshark to investigate network issues

You have strong debugging / troubleshooting skills

You're have a good understanding of software development and are able to code with any programming language: Python or C# preferred - and keen to develop your skills

You have excellent communication skills and are a collaborative team member
