2nd2nd Line Support (Linux/SolarisSolaris)Location: TelfordTelfordPermanent We are looking for an experienced Solaris/SolarisLinux Engineer to work within the UNIX Infrastructure Support Team for a central government client in Telford.Telford This role sits within a team that is responsible for the live service delivery of all aspects of the core infrastructure and support production, disaster recovery, live acceptance proving, test and development services on a 24/7 basis.Working with the latest versions of Solaris Solaris& Linux virtualization,virtualization you will be required to provide operating system support and maintenance for Solaris Solaris& Linux (SUSE & RHEL)RHEL based. You will require a working knowledge of these operating systems, ability to produce UNIX scripts and knowledge of Cloud computing principles to support the team's aims to manage, monitor and maintain our services and particularly our cloud service offerings. Essential Skills: Proven experience in support role preferably at 2nd 2ndline levelSignificant Solaris Solaris& Linux experienceKnowledge of Solaris/SolarisLinux Infrastructure UNIX scripting skillsProven ability to problem solveAbility to work independentlyAble to attain and maintain SC clearanceDesirable SkillsSolaris SolarisUnixSolaris SolarisInfrastructure & VirtualizationVirtualizationSUSE or RHEL RHELLinuxOEL OELLinuxUnderstanding of SAN principlesUnderstanding of Cloud computing principles
