Application Security Specialist

London

£60,000 - £75,000 per annum, dependant on experience

Client is a growing consumer finance business based in central London. Client has strong backing from several major Private Equity funds and has a need to recruit an Application Security Specialist on a permanent basis.

The InfoSec business unit where the Application Security Specialise will sit works ensures that products are secure by default and secure by design and mitigating threats to their systems and databases from the outset.

This is a fast paced environment and somebody who has the ability to work in a changing and growing business will thrive.

The duties of an Application Security Specialist will include but not be limited to:

* Handling Threat models

* Security testing and code review to improve software security

* Test, Implement software security techniques in reference to architecture.

* Troubleshoot and debug issues that as and when they arise.

* Working with engineering teams, handling reviews in regards to software solutions to help mitigate security issues

* Contribute to all levels of the architecture

* Consult team members in regards to coding

* Identify and mitigate external threats to the organisation and employees

* Develop a familiarity with new tools and best practices

The ideal Application Security Specialist will possess:

* Strong experience as a software security engineer or penetration tester

* Detailed technical knowledge of techniques, applied cryptography, security vulnerability exposure

* Adequate knowledge of web and mobile related technologies including Web applications, Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures and of network/web related protocols

* Strong Interest within Information Security
