About us

Help Musicians is an independent charity with an extraordinary history. For nearly 100 years we have provided a broad spectrum of help, support and opportunities to empower professional musicians through times of great need and times of opportunity, providing a lifetime of support when it is needed most.

The charity takes a personalised approach through its unique, integrated programme offering assistance across health and wellbeing, business skills and creative development. Our strong reserves have enabled us to react to the pandemic with a significant increase in the level of support we offer.

Help Musicians aims to make a meaningful difference to the lives of professional musicians and is passionate about creating a world where musicians thrive.

About the role

As Systems and Support Manager you'll be responsible for the management and resolution of day to day IT issues, the administration and maintenance of Help Musicians' systems, and the motivation and performance of the IT support team to deliver exceptional levels of service and support.

Acting as a champion for best practice across the charity, you'll ensure standards of compliance are met at all times. You'll work with the Head of IT and Director of Communications & Business Services to deliver strategic change, planning and delivering a number of critical IT projects.

About you

To be successful your previous experience of providing IT support or managing an IT Support function in a hands-on role will be essential, including desktop, server, network and application support in a Windows environment.

With previous experience of managing employees, supporting and leading them to achieve their full potential, you'll also have effective stakeholder management skills and a proven track record of successful project implementation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in a dynamic team working to achieve the charity's ambitions to support musicians, providing a lifetime of support when it is needed most.
