Role Purpose:

To shape and drive our architecture and technical direction ensuring that technology and business direction align, supporting applications, data and infrastructure in a large-scale digital transformation project.

To deliver our digital transformation we need the best in IT and systems architecture to make today the best it can be as we transition to our objectives for tomorrow. You'll have an in depth knowledge of the type of technologies we use and the types we'll need to move to - so broadly AWS, Cloud, Spring Boot, API Gateways, Kafka, and Linux to name just a few, with methodologies like TOGAF and Zachman.  You'll be able to effectively work with multiple stakeholders at all levels, communicating how the various parts of IT infrastructure and architecture fit together to both technical experts and non-technical people alike, bringing IT to life and motivating change by illuminating the benefits that positive change brings.

You'll be a critical team player across multiple functions defining the "big picture" in the overall technology architecture, establishing principles and controlling the technologies that contribute to our customer solutions. It's a role that calls for the ability to form relationships quickly and to influence decisions through clarity of purpose and design.

Working as a mentor and advisor to colleagues you'll develop our architecture as part of our business strategy. Experience within the financial services or insurance industry would be advantageous.
