Our client based in East London, is currently looking for a PMO lead for a permanent opportunity, paying up to £80,000 per annum.The ideal candidate will have worked to high a level within portfolio management, show longevity within their professional history and be able to line manage a small team, to improve reporting processes.Purpose of the roleThe management and delivery of a portfolio of programmes and projects is at the heart of our plan for the organisation. You'll have the lead role in our Portfolio Management Office responsible for the financial oversight, governance and reporting of our portfolio. A large part of your role will also be to continuously improve the methods that we use to administer and deliver the portfolio.Experience RequiredDirect line management of a team of PMO Analysts covering career development as well as day to day activitiesAggregating information from range of sources to provide insightful portfolio reports to Executive level managementBuilding relationships and working with senior leaders across the complete spectrum of the organisationFirst-hand experience managing projects at a level to be confident instructing and guiding project managers; advising on project planning, financial and resource estimation, tracking and control, schedule and RAID management, communication, governance, and reporting * Coaching, mentoring and developing more junior members of staffApplying your knowledge and experience of methodologies combined with a pragmatic approach to ensure work is delivered efficiently and effectivelyBeing qualified in project, programme and change delivery methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP, MoP and P3OUnderstanding the problems an organisation is trying to solve, spotting complexity and interdependencies and planning the right approach across multiple pieces of workPlease do get in touch if you would like to discuss this opportunity further by submitting your most up to date CV in the first instance.
