I am currently supporting a pioneering, fast growing 'Eco-friendly' technology innovator who are actively recruiting for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to bolster the existing team to help drive the next generation of products across a multitude of applications.

We are looking for someone passionate both about Power Engineering and improving the environment. The company boasts a number of high profile customers across the globe who are looking to collaborate and integrate technologies, as well as products launched already with solid funding and investment.

Your role will be to develop complete systems, from concept through to production, to deliver high voltage (>5kV), high power (>1kW) and high frequency (>10kHz) outputs, powered by a range of sources including mains, batteries, alternators and solar.

You will be tasked with identifying technical risks within projects and drive their resolution whilst ensuring products are safe. As the Senior Engineer you will mentor others and develop best practice ensuring focus on driving efficacy and value.

Key Skills
-Design transformers and inductors
-Manage thermals and resolve any issues
-Simulate designs in tools such as Matlab or SPICE
-Design and layout PCBs
-High Power, High Frequency, High Voltage Electronics
-Build and commission prototypes
-Verify designs in lab and validate performance in field
-Design product for worldwide compliance
-Create production specifications
-Design for cost and mass-manufacture
-Create technical construction files
-Identify and manage electrical hazards

Desirable skills include:
-Design of resonant inductor circuits
-Develop embedded microcontroller systems
-Program with CAN bus and Modbus protocols

We are looking for an engineer with in-depth knowledge and passion for development of power electronics, someone who is highly motivated and proactive to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
