Due to growth an excellent opportunity has arisen AGAIN to join an ever growing company that provides a market leading service for Private Medical Insurance. This will be the 8th member of the tech team they are looking to on-board this year - the companies 6th during lockdown.Based in Gloucestershire, you will be working on a market leading platform for the medical and life insurance industry. Within the role, the initial aspect would be to help deliver an MVP platform, for then going forward you will control the transition to a more scalable micro services based approach for future features and development work.
All interviews will be conducted remotely, as well as your tenure starting remotely until the office reopens. Once normality resumes - remote working will be allowed up to 2 days per week.
Day to day responsibilities:
Not all team leading, willing to roll your sleeves up and get hands on with developmentMentoring junior members of the teamEnsure development standards are met and followedReviewing pull requestsCommunicate with the front end team to ensure solid solutionsEnsure architectures are designed and participating in daily stand ups.It would be an advantage if you had some if not all of the following:
Strong PHP knowledgeLaravelExperience working in a micro services environmentExperience of building enterprise services Comfortable writing MySQL queriesAbility to work in a close knit team and independentlyImplementing TDD practicesExperience with GraphQLBackground knowledge of working within the financial or insurance sector.
