My client is looking to recruit a Software Development Manager to direct and manage to development function of a rapidly expanding team.
You will ideally understand the full SDLC, and have managed/led development teams in the past. This role will be hands off, however you may be required to help out with coding when necessary.
The role offers a very competitive package and stock options, remote working is also possible after six months.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of Software Engineers in architecting, developing, testing and deploying softwareDevelop, mentor, coach, and grow existing staff and hire additional well-qualified personnelCreate an environment where team members understand the vision, are held accountable, meet commitments, and have strong software engineering disciplineInstill an agile approach to software delivery by working with product owners, increasing velocity by removing roadblocks, and resolving inefficiencies in our processes and workflowsInspire an innovative spirit and approach to creating solutions, solving problems, increasing our knowledge, and experimenting with newer technologiesIncrease our level of quality by having high standards around code coverage, functional and integration testing, and automationPartner with product management to plan future roadmap and current sprints, understand and navigate through competing priorities, and provide work estimationListen effectively to key stakeholders and team members; communicates your direction, designs, and ideas with purpose and its desired outcomes
Essential Skills
Significant experience of managing development teamsStrong understanding of AWS (deep knowledge of the platform)Knowledge of creating best-practices and the processes to ensure that the best practices are maintainedHands-on knowledge of .NET Platform C#, ASP.NETJavaScript/HTML/CSSIdeally knowledge of one of the following (Farsight, Lamda, Cloudwatch, Cognito)BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.What they can offer you:
