Information Security Manager

£50000 - £60000 per annum

The position is to join a growing team of Information Security Specialists where you will manage the Information Security for all the UK business lines and UK offices. You will report into the Senior Information Security Manager.

Having been traditionally founded back in the 1800s, they have grown into the large multinational firm that we know today. Working predominantly within the Pensions and Retirements sectors, they hold a large volume of customer data and manage circa 900 billion of assets on behalf of investors Worldwide.

They are seeking a technically minded and engaging IT Security Specialist to cover all aspects of InfoSec across Technology, Processes and People. You will support the Enterprise InfoSec team in delivering the strategy ensuring this aligns with the Global strategy. Your duties will include consulting on issues that arise and monitoring compliance to InfoSec policies.

You will play a key role in the successful delivery of an Enterprise InfoSec function whilst collaborating with internal business units to ensure Global security requirements are met. You will provide technical support and guidance to the project teams and carry out risk assessments. You will be used to working in a commercial organisation where your ability to problem solve and manage senior stakeholders on a regular basis are now second nature.

You will come with an open mind and the attitude to make a positive impact to ultimately drive forward this maturing security function. They are looking for someone who understands how to apply InfoSec best practices to a large-scale environment and who is aware of new and emerging technologies to ensure they stay at the forefront. An understanding of Financial Services regulatory/compliance requirements is essential and a background in a technical IT role such as IT architecture, development or operations is highly desirable. It will be advantageous if you have the CISSP or CISM qualification or you are due to sit the exam.
