Software Engineer / Developer (Java JVM Mockito AWS TDD). Are you an ambitious Software Engineer looking for a role where you'll use your technical abilities as a catalyst for positive change? The organisation is transforming the consumer banking space through their unique cloud-based technology. They are seeking a detail-oriented Software Engineer to enhance their capabilities as they enter a new phase of growth.

As a Software Engineer you'll join the team responsible for the core banking technology platform, that's built in Java on AWS infrastructure, with delivery based on LESS. You'll collaborate to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility, assisting with Architecture and Design of new and current systems within a test driven development environment.

This Software Engineer role is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to step up their career, and develop their skills on a strong pipeline of Greenfield projects.

Requirements:

Strong Java design and development skills e.g. Spring (ideally Spring Boot)

Experience of designing systems or components on large projects

Experience of writing unit, component and integration tests (RESTful services using Mocking frameworks and TDD / BDD tools)

Good knowledge of databases, SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL

Experience with any of the following would be useful: Kafka, Hadoop, Spark (or other data streaming); Docker, Kubernetes, Swagger; CI tools, SonarQube, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins; Cucumber

First rate communication skills, keen to develop knowledge and share ideas
