We are looking for a talented back-end PHP developer to join our dynamic and friendly North London team. You hold good web development experience and willing to work with various cutting edge technologies and tools.

London Mill Hill, NW7 / Home-Based | Up to £175 Per Day

Starting Date: ASAP - c3-month contract role on a full-time basis with flexibility for working from home for a few days a week.

Our team has acquired a global audience of key industry figures, including yacht owners, brokers, designers and shipyards as well as engaging journalists and luxury connoisseurs with written features and filmed interviews encompassing all aspects of the superyacht and luxury industries.

About You:

You are a self-motivated individual who can perform well under pressure to meet our business deadlines. You have the ability to work as a part of the team or on your own. You have a good understanding of web development and analytical skills, working with our designers and front-end developers towards enhancing user experience and streamlining processes. Knowledge of agile principles along with experience managing projects would be a bonus.

This is a three-month role on a full-time basis with flexibility for working from home for a few days a week.

PHP Web Developer Responsibilities:

+ Working closely with our creative and production teams to build additional features.

+ PHP web application server development for back-end processing.

+ Database and Application integrations to support our 3-Tier environment.

+ Development and Integrations for migrating some legacy modules to our new platform.

+ Server analyses and reporting including (Traffic, Server Monitoring, and other business tools).

+ Good Back-end Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

+ Database Query development and tuning.

+ Infrastructure Optimisations (system and coding levels)

+ Working closely and reporting to our Senior management teams.

PHP Web Developer Requirements:

+ Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks including Laravel and ideally Laravel Nova

+ Strong knowledge database design and development (PostgreSQL Essential, MongoDB desirable)

+ Commercial experience with OOP patterns and relational database integrations.

+ Experience with Amazon AWS services (ELB, EC2, S3, EBS, AWS SDK, IAM, Route 53).

+ Experience with GraphQL.

+ Familiarity with best coding practices and ability to produce maintainable code.

+ Experience with maintaining and administrating Linux servers.

+ Experience with Git repositories and remote team integrations.

+ Understanding of web protocols (HTTP, SSL, and Keychain management).

+ Experience with REST API service development and integrating with 3rd party/API services.

+ Solid understanding of CSS and JavaScript (SCSS, Vue)

+ Experience with frontend frameworks is preferable, ideally Vue.js/Nuxt.js.
