Network Engineer - Lodnon - Contract - £250pd DescriptionStrong practical network skills, routed in IP, are essential, along with hands-on firewall, security and VoiPexperience. Being a self-starter you will manage and support a variety of systems, working daily totroubleshoot and support, monitoring your environment, installing, configuring, cabling and labelling,seeing jobs through from start to finish. We think differently therefore find optimized cost solutions. There will be an initialrequirement to work in Paris with the HQ Network Team for several days per week for the first two or threemonths depending on Paris team availability. With a shift then to ****** UK-SNS projects there will be arequirement to work several days per week in Norwich, potentially for the remainder of the 1-year contract.Occasional travel to other UK sites which include Bacton, Dimlington, Wytch Farm. You will work withsupport from members of the Group Network Team based in Paris and support from various UK sitesincluding direct Line Management from London. Flexible, an ability tothink out of the box and push their ideas forward. They need to love what they do, be curiouswith each issue, always digging for the solution. This a very practical role, must love being on thefield and on the frontline! You may be called on for out-of-hours business critical events and form part of an on-call rota.Key Tasks* Project work on Southern North Sea Network refresh (Onshore & Offshore).* Use the ****** IT Helpdesk system to receive requests and carry out troubleshooting andchanges to the network in line with ****** Group methodology.* Involvement in Network migrations to IP where the opportunity presents itself. Network equipment monitoring through PRTG.* Liaise with Group Network and IT department for 3rd line escalation.* Liaise with WAN service providers for installations and issues.* Ensuring assets are recorded correctly in our Equipment database.* Managing backups and spares.* Testing and performing recovery.* Updating network diagrams with relevant changes Network Engineer - Lodnon - Contract - £250pd Job Offer A great opportunity to become a temp to permanent member of staff.
