Python Developer / Backend Software Engineer (Web Python Ruby AWS Java Salesforce SaaS). FinTech start-up is seeking a highly technical Python Developer with a broad range of knowledge. Their capital market tools are used by Investment Banks and independent research providers to automate and analyse client service and research consumption, presenting a complete overview of the client relationship made available via the Cloud.

As a Python Developer you'll join an Agile XP development team that take a "best tool for the job" approach to technology - the core platform is built on a mix of Java, Python, force.com and Ruby on Rails running on both Amazon AWS and Heroku; JavaScript is also a key technology as it's a very user focussed product. You'll be part of a collaborative team using Pair Programming and driving the use of modern development approaches such as Continuous Integration and DevOps type automation.

Offices based close to the Silicon round-about with a calm, relaxed working environment; you'll be working as part of a small, friendly technology team and will be encouraged to try new things and continuously learn.

Requirements:

Strong Python development skills (will also consider Ruby or Java)

Experience of developing scalable web based systems

Familiar with Cloud technologies, AWS preferred

Strong Agile development experience, good knowledge of XP, Pair Programming and Test Driven Development

Collaborative with excellent communication skills

Desirable: Salesforce, SaaS experience
