  • The Go / Golang Developer will join our world-class workforce to build upon the prototyping and validation of a ground-breaking decision-support platform's product roadmap.

The Firm:

This contract involves working within an experimental digital function within the maritime sector in a multi-discipline team. This venture aims to create a bleeding-edge, transformational platform which will support customers in making better business decisions, ensuring a positive impact on business performance without impacting the environment. The venture has the support of one of the world's most renowned energy and oil companies, currently in the beta pilot phase with several early external customers and users.

The Go Developer / Golang Developer Role

  • Building a variety of APIs to serve numerous internal consumers, from customer-facing

apps to machine learning pipelines

  • Delivering well-tested code of the highest quality
  • Communicating with different teams and individuals in order to plan, collaborate and gain feedback
  • Pitching in as necessary as a key member of an autonomous, cross-functional team

Requirements for Go Developer / Golang Developer role:

  • Highly skilled in Go / Golang
  • Previous experience with distributed systems
  • Previous experience deploying production applications such as AWS or Google Cloud
  • Understanding of the positive outcomes CI / CD has produced in your previous projects
  • Previous experience implementing highly scalable backend services
  • Understanding of when to use non-relational database instead of a traditional relational one
  • Comprehensive background in CompSci fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and deftness at object-oriented design and systems architecture
  • Confidence in working with unix-like systems
  • Links to your relevant online profiles such as Github, StackOverflow, Twitter etc.

Location: Central London

Duration: 6 months with view to extend

Rate: Up to £700 per day
