Data Analyst - SC Southend3 monthsIR35: In scope Would you like to join a global leader in consulting, technology services and digital transformation?Our client are at the forefront of innovation to address the entire breadth of opportunities in the evolving world of cloud, digital and platforms. The successful candidate will be familiar with Data Vault and Data Mart creation. The project is to migrate data from a legacy on prem warehouse onto AWS, first into a Data Warehouse and then into a Data Mart. Demonstrable experience of working successfully in either Data Analysis or Solution Design roles with specific data focus on Data Warehousing.Tasks:Data modelling - experience with entity, logical and physical modelData-focused technologies and their practical implementation and operation, including the Hadoop ecosystemAbility to draft user stories to a granular levelTechnologies: Experience of Database schema definitionExperience of RDBMS (Oracle / MYSQL preferred)Broad IT experience with in-depth understanding of data strategies, data models, ETL design & developmentExperience with Data SecurityHas a background in a data analyst / developer / designer role with a range of experienceProven experience in developing large scale IT Data Architectures and in entity relationship, dimensional modelling and semantic models in a complex, multi supplier environmentSolid experience of data management technologies and approachesTransformation tools, including some or all of the following: Informatics PowerCenter, Pentaho Data Integrator, SAP Data ServicesUse of various collaboration tools including JIRA, Confluence etcData transfer methodology including the likes of sFTP and FTPs, JDBC, Flume, KafkaDifferent languages, data formats including XML, Experience using an Architecture Repository and adhering to its use and policy. Security approaches and tools, encryption.Mandatory technical skills:Strong experience in Requirements & Analysis on large scale and/or multi project environments, Data Capture, Data AnalysisMandatory Business skills:Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and with impact to technical and non-technical audiencesDemonstrate the ability to work with minimal direction in a large often challenging environment to influence and drive change internally and with 3rd party suppliersBe a team player coaching and mentoring aspiring colleagues into motivated and delivery focused individuals The successful candidate will hold active SC clearance, or be eligible and willing to undergo the relevant checks.
