Senior BI Analyst

Spring Technology is currently working in partnership with a market leading financial services organisation to recruit a Senior BI Analyst to play a key role in influencing end to end solutions including ETL, transactional model build, data warehouse design and MI reporting. As a Senior BI Analyst you will interrogate historical data to analyse and understand trends, give insight and influence strategy.

The Responsibilities

*Design and develop automated solutions to assist the business in its operation, using Power BI, Excel and the Microsoft SQL Server 2016 suite of products

*Interpret complex financial models; replicate models within an SQL environment, with the ability to challenge the modelling approach and assumptions

*Investigate and remediate issues arising in the overnight model runs

*Analysing trends in performance and behaviour

*Production of regular reporting which supports the financial month end accounting process, regulatory reporting and capital analysis

*On-going reconciliation and validation of account data and model results

*Production of regular and ad hoc reporting solutions as and when requested by the business areas across company

*Production of monitoring packs to support the model governance framework

*Producing analysis and insight to understand model performance over time

*Provide recommendations to the business based on the results of analysis undertaken

The Requirements

*Strong SQL background, with experience of T-SQL & SSIS

*Experience of analysing and reporting on large/complex datasets

*Ability to develop new solutions using methodologies consistent with current solutions

*Strong commercial acumen

*Analytically focussed and detail conscious

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*Ability to work as part of a team

Desirable:

*Experience within the Financial Services Industry

*Experience of using a database source control solution

*Experience of developing reporting in Power BI

*Experience of regulatory and financial modelling (IFRS9 & IRB)
