We have a number of exciting opportunities to join our Transformation & Improvement Directorate delivering large scale change and improvement to achieve its vision of becoming an outstanding Police Force. We are looking for applicants who are innovative, communicative and collaborate in their approach to their work. Our Business Analyst Team is central to this comprehensive programme of work covering technology, estate and process improvement. Our Business Analysts work closely with colleagues in the business to provide innovative solutions to modern problems. We are looking for proactive and motivated individuals to join the existing Team and help us meet the challenges ahead. You will need to be an extremely proactive and motivated individual with strong technical skills and relevant experience in the field of business analysis. You will be extremely confident at working alongside colleagues at all levels of an organisation and be able to successfully plan and manage your own workload. Knowledge of project management methodologies would also be advantageous. Avon and Somerset Constabulary has been recognised as national leaders in exploiting data through advanced analytics techniques, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and interactive dashboards. Therefore, we are also looking for driven and enthusiastic Business Analysts to expand our team and maximise growth in the usage of data and innovative applications within the Constabulary. You will work closely with end users, senior Business Leads and partners to help shape successful ‘data driven' services. These roles will be largely based at Headquarters in Portishead (with secure parking and on-site facilities) but the ability to travel around the Force area will be required.
