What you'll doAs a Power Supply Hardware Engineer you will be responsible for creating efficient reliable and cost effective power supplies for all our devices. After all, the PSU is the foundation of the product. You will own the specification, schematic capture, PCB layout, test and approval of the PSU. You will be accountable for the overall PSU Hardware performance including topology selection, end to end PSU design and layout, thermal performance and reliability, EMC testing and final approval. In addition to design, you will accountable for understanding all relevant standards and application of them. You will be expected to:-Hold weekly engineering meetings.-Driving strong collaboration with stakeholders and peers-Strive to challenge the status quo, with innovative approaches to design and process.-Perform schematic design and work with the CAD team on PCB layout.-Manage the eBOM and understand the product cost makeup.-Drive the team through the concept / design / optimize & validate phases of a project.-Work closely with the Product Design team on mechanical integration.-Work with the operations team on manufacturing test development.-Travel to support engineering builds. What you'll have-An interested and passion for PSU design-Be an Expert at validation and optimization of PSU.-Design for Cost and Design for Manufacture experience.-Extensive knowledge and experience of PSU-Proficient user of modern design tools and systems; including design simulation.-Knowledge of thermal design and simulation.-Schematic capture and PCB layout.-Strong analytical skills including basic statistical analysis.-Adept with MS office including excel.
