Data Analyst - In Scope of IR35Manchester6 monthsWould you like to join a global leader in consulting, technology services and digital transformation?Our client are at the forefront of innovation to address the entire breadth of opportunities in the evolving world of cloud, digital and platforms.Role description:Gathering requirements and developing the scopeAnalysis of data used in CDS Risk, S&S Risk rules, data sets required for S&S Risk rules e.g. Reference data.For data sets used in S&S Risk, identify frequency of change, quality of data.Identify any data quality issues that need to be resolve before data can be used for S&S Risk.Identify data sources required for Pentaho reporting and elastic search.Tasks:Experience of successfully creating and implementing designs for data centric solutions.Experience of Data Modelling.Experience of Database schema definition.Experience of RDBMS. (Oracle / MYSQL preferred)Broad IT experience with in-depth understanding of data strategies, data models, ETL design & developmentHas a background in a data analyst / developer / designer role with a range of experience.Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and with impact to technical and non-technical audiences.Demonstrate the ability to work with minimal direction in a large often challenging environment to influence and drive change internally and with 3rd party suppliers.Be a team player coaching and mentoring aspiring colleagues into motivated and delivery focused individuals.Technologies:Data technologies and approaches, including some or all of the following:Relational databases, data warehousing, Data MartsDatabase Technologies (Oracle, MYSQL)Data transfer methodology including the likes of sFTP and FTPs, JDBC, Flume, Kafka.Different languages, data formats including XMLSecurity approaches and tools, encryptionUse of various collaboration tools including JIRA, Confluence etcExperience using an Architecture Repository and adhering to its use and policy Pentaho Data IntegratorMandatory Technical Skills:Data modelling - experience with entity, logical and physical modelsData-focused technologies and their practical implementation and operation, including the Hadoop ecosystem The successful candidate will hold active SC clearance, or be eligible and willing to undergo the relevant checks.
