Java Developer - Newcastle / Microservices / Financial Services / Enterprise Scala£40,000 - £50,000 Who do I need? I am looking to hire an experienced Java enthusiast to join my Newcastle based consultancy. This Java Developer role will be office based on client site in the North East so no real extensive travel that you typically get with consultancy. You will typically see the normal 9-5 working day with some flexibility. What do my client do? They are an independent technology company who are generating large scale software solutions primarily in backend technologies such as Java, Scala, Python and Node. They do say their speciality is enterprise scale however they do work their magic for smaller private companies too - so the beauty here is you get experience from both angles of the market and open many doors for your cv.Staying up to date is vital for them so you can find yourself working with the most modern technologies using best practice. You will get the chance to utilise the latest versions of Java, work with microservices, cross train into different tech and always follow best practice such as TDD / Unit Testing / CI/CDThey have grown by 48% too in the last 2 years so there's not much holding them back so you may as well get on board. You will find yourself brushing shoulders with the most technical individuals in the North East and as a result learn pivotal skills which impact your profile from both a technical and functional aspect.This role is consultancy however you would be based around Newcastle client sites with no extensive travel or long periods of time away from homeWhat would you be doing? As a Java developer here you will work as part of small agile scrum development teams across a range of domains making sure you are both getting the job done and having fun at the same time. Yes this is a job but they're a great bunch of people to be around. Your development matters so they'll cover that too - there is always a tech talk or a training event you can be on to ever built on your already brilliant stack. What do I need to see?A tech wizard in Java with about 3-5 years commercial experience as a minimum. Spring & Hibernate too as I need super techy peopleProven experience working to agile deliveryTDD & Unit testing would be really beneficial and would help beat your market competition.Any knowledge of Scala and you're on to a winnerOverall positive attitude and show genuine passion for the fieldKnowledgeable on all SOLID principlesPrevious consultancy experience will be beneficial but by no means essential What's on offer to you?
