We have an exciting requirement for a Senior Systems / DevOps Engineer wiith DV clearance to join client in Southampton or Cheltenham on a contract basis. You will need to be DV UKIC cleared. Attractive daily rates are on offer, 12 month contracts with extensions, outside of IR35. There is a wide scope of work within the business ranging from Research & Development, Product Development, Solution Delivery, Hardware & Software Products and Solutions for various markets in the UK and internationally. What will your role look like?Collaborating with colleagues and customers to deliver and present new capabilitiesWorking with and applying Agile and DevOps methodologies and toolsSolution and component design, development and testingTechnical consultancy, business development and contributing to bids What do we expect from you?Familiarity with at least one of Java, C#, JavaScript and Python with the demonstrable ability to rapidly pick up and apply new frameworks, languages and technologiesFamiliarity with software engineering standard methodology including behaviour and test driven development, continuous delivery and other Agile practices.A current Home Office of UKIC DV clearanceWhat additional skills would we find useful?Ability to understand, adapt and architect complex software systemsKnowledge of additional frameworks and languages e.g. C++, Docker, Go, Neo4J, Node, Ruby, Vue, React, AngularFamiliarity with LinuxFamiliarity with working with open source softwareMOD / Goverment / Defence sector experienceQualificationsThe ideal candidate will be degree qualified (2.1 or above) in a related subject or have the equivalent in relevant engineering, scientific or technical-based discipline.
