Purpose

Embarking on a major IT Transformation project to drive change throughout our businesses, we're looking for a Software Asset Manager to contribute to the development and realisation of our IT strategy. Working with global group standards you will ensure Scottish Power's compliance with the software publisher licence agreements and copyright laws, as well as implementing the company's software licensing policies and processes to ensure there is no non-conformance.

Responsibilities

Using the company's management tool, ‘Aspera' along with other toolsets, you will manage the compliance with agreed corporate software licence agreements and copyright law by monitoring and enforcing proper software usage policies.  

Through strong relationship and interpersonal skills, you will work with internal and external teams to develop a full understanding of software license terms and conditions, along with procuring software licences and subscriptions ensuring adequate numbers and usage.  Through superior organisational and analytical skills, you will manage and conduct audits on software vendors, producing reports and data as appropriate. Additional responsibilities will include working with Business IT Teams and business personnel responsible for business licences and ScottishPower management to develop and improve existing SAM processes and rectify variances between deployed and licensed software.

Skills and Requirements

Being an excellent communicator with proven vendor relationship skills and experience, coupled with sound knowledge of software usage and licence management, you will ensure all key Stakeholders are aware of licence management methods, processes, best practices, policies, technologies and tools.  Through strong vendor relationship and analytical skills, you will work with internal and external teams to develop a full understanding of software license terms and conditions in order to ensure ScottishPower compliance.

What we offer

This is a Permanent contract. Salary for this role will be from £45,840 per annum.
