If you are a data-driven individual with knowledge of the physical commodities logistics and interest in FinTech and blockchain technology solutions, we have the perfect job for you! We are seeking a strong Data Business Analyst with physical commodities knowledge to take on this new role, work with the latest technical solutions and with leading professionals from the fields of financial services, oil and gas. Your remit will be to source and steward a gold standard information repository specific to the physical commodities trading markets. The successful Business Analyst will:Map out the information types and metrics required to build the data repository.Research sources.Construct and manage data from a variety of existing and new sources.Add, change and maintain information in the repository.Liaise with the company’s blue-chip client base to gather additional information and verify truths.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure information gathered meets ongoing requirements.Conduct workshops with stakeholders. The successful Business Analyst will have:
Solid knowledge of the physical commodities logistics (from oil, gas, coal, ore, grain etc.) background) from either an operational perspective (settlements/trade finance/contract) or from IT (ETRM / CTRM).An understanding of information types from a physical commodities perspective.Previous working experience with large quantities of data.Strong communication, presentation and organisational skills.Strong attention to detail.The ability to take ownership of projects and deliverables.The ability to conduct workshops.Educated to degree level or equivalent. In return, the Business Analyst will receive a salary of up to £50,000 - £60,000 per annum according to experience, a benefits allowance, pension and bonus schemes, 25 days holiday and a great working environment.
