This role will involve both responsibility and recognition for the continuing success of their brand.DescriptionLINUX Systems Administrator - £45k+ A versatile role with expectations of strong technical skills and demonstrating an intuitive, proactive, hands-on working style. Within a growing warehouse operation based out of Shipley, the successful candidate would be responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation/maintenance of systems, hardware & software. Key responsibilities:Ensuring system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organisational values, enabling their staff, volunteers and partners to work with ease.Accountable for all systems and services that support the smooth operation and continual innovation of the business, including: SA engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance, research and development.Assisting the projects team with technical issues in Initiation and Planning phase of their standard Project Management Methodology, defining the needs, benefits and technical strategy. Defined responsibilities:Research & development within the project life-cycleTechnical analysis & designSupport of IT and operations staffExecuting, testing and rolling-out solutionsProject participation on operational activities, with focus on smooth transitions from development team to production staffProfileWith a strong, well-established team, they are looking for someone who is willing to be hands-on and contribute to the wider business' success. Essential Knowledge & Skills:LINUX environment, so relevant skills (CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu) should be second-nature.Good analytical skills with the ability to prioritise tasks based on business impact.Confident with databases and commands for administration & application support.A knowledge of web-based languages, such as PHP, HTML, CSS.Ability to handle frequently changing priorities and a large variety of different tasks.Efficient and high-quality documentation skills.Ready, willing and able to intervene out-of-hours (On Call).Able to work out-of-hours as-and-when required by the business.
