Senior Java Developer / Software Engineer (Java 8 Python OOP AWS GCP Algorithm). Would you like to take on a high profile role that will provide daily challenges? You'll remain hands-on solving difficult problems, using a range of modern languages and technologies and taking a technical lead on architecture and design whilst enjoying a relaxed working environment with perks including flexible working, an amazing office environment and regular massages to name but a few.

As a Senior Java Developer you will take a lead role within the Algorithm Team that is the basis of the core product, a cloud based highly complex network discovery and infrastructure management tool used by large scale organisations to efficiently manage their IT set-up. You'll help architect and build scalable and extensible products and services in a cloud based environment; identify and build algorithms which are valuable to real world industry applications; write and review production quality code, partnering with Data Scientists to transform stat-of-the-art algorithms and research into amazing products in a scalable and extensible way.

As a senior member of the team you will drive continuous improvement, mentor and coach the team and liaise with other teams to ensure they are no obstacles that prevent your team from delivering high quality software.

You'll be based in the vibrant town of Kingston-upon-Thames in light and spacious modern offices with a fully stocked kitchen / break out area and games room, showers, secure bike storage and lots going on in the local area with great places for lunch and a very short walk to the river.

Requirements:

Advanced software engineering experience having worked on large scalable systems (any OO language - Java and Python preferred)

Strong knowledge of advanced algorithm design and development; Machine Learning experience is highly desirable

Good knowledge of Cloud Native architectures

Experience with microservices, Container orchestration and Containerisation technologies

Experience of Cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud Platform

Collaborative with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team
