Reed Professional Services (RPS) has engaged with one of the key Central Government departments to work on a large and complex internal infrastructure project. In order to further compliment the team delivering these programmes, RPS have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to join our team of experts based in Manchester to manage and facilitate the successful PPM delivery.Who will you be working for? RPS provide project delivery and tailored PMO services, helping our customer's projects go from concept to completion. Our project delivery services are custom tailored to meet individual needs, whilst drawing on broad market experience and proven methodology from a variety of sectors including Media, Banking and Central Government. We keep the end goal firmly in mind and can scale as in line with customer needs. What will you be doing? As a core member of RPS's Project Management Team, you will help our client across a broad cross section of programmes that need support both to raise understanding of the level of Project and Programme Management expertise. This particular piece of work will be centred around the departments Infrastructure PPM and Reed Professional Services have been tasked to offer support, guidance and aid the delivery of a number of crucial changes currently being considered and implemented across the organisation.Using your Outstanding Programme Manager Skills, you will play a key role in being accountable for the construction and delivery of a technical programme of work. you will work within the infrastructure and platforms programme, as part of the PPM function you will be responsible for the provision of PPM services to facilitate business change across the department. Working with Senior stakeholders and highly skilled engineering teams across a range of core infrastructure projects.Experience: Applicants but have a current SC Clearence. Demonstrable experience of leading technical programmes of work and technology transformation. As well as experience of project managing large infrastructure projects. You will have experience in central government working on Government Infrastructure tech decks. You would have worked on cloud migrations, networks, servers. You would have previously worked on data centre projects.Skills: You will have PRINCE2 and MSP Project management qualifications, understanding of government policies, sills of working with cross functional tech and infrastructural team leads as well as an understanding of management and reporting of budgets and funding.Characteristics: There's frequent internal and external stakeholder management involved, so you should be a compelling and considered influencer, with a consultative and approachable demeanour that will enable your team to deliver to the best of its ability.
