Media Relations Manager

One of our north London based clients is seeking a media relations manager to join their busy team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for promoting the organisation positively through social, digital and traditional media. You act as a senior advisor on all aspects of media relations within the local area.

As the Media Relations Manager you will be responsible for developing and delivering proactive communications campaigns to ensure that the organisations reputation is maintained and enhanced within the community.

Media Relations Manager duties will include, but not limited to:

*Producing press releases, publications, and online content

*Promoting the organisation through traditional, social media and digital media

*Acting as a specialist senior advisor on all aspects of media relations

*Developing and delivering proactive communications campaigns, and managing the roll-out of regional and nationally led campaigns

*Using both digital and social media platforms to target and engage with audiences within the local area

*Identify and implement innovative communication projects and initiatives which will raise the profile of the organisation through social and digital media

*Developing and maintaining key relationships with key stakeholders, influencers, media and external bodies

*Managing media relations during emergencies, and major and critical incidents

As the Media Relations Manager you will be required to possess:

*Proven track record with media relations

*Experience working with stakeholders, both internal and external

*Previous experience creating press releases and writing/creating/managing online content

*Previous experience developing and delivering traditional/social and digital media relations

*Experience creating marketing communications plans, strategies and campaigns

*Experience working within a corporate communications environment

*Previous experience of working with national and local media

*Proven track record of crisis communications management and media relations during major and/or critical incidents

*Able to establish, build and maintain relationships with journalists, key stakeholders and influencers

*Understanding media law and the legal constraints with the release of information the media
