Network engineer with firewalls, protocols routing & switching experience needed for a permanent role in Trowbridge.

As a Network Server Engineer, you will be responsible for the support of the technical solutions affecting the network infrastructure in the Data Centre, Corporate LAN and call centres. This includes removal of server and storage, telephony hardware and software, system configuration, maintenance and documentation as well as assisting with network installations. Knowledge of Avaya would be advantageous.The role holder will have in depth knowledge of large Enterprise scale server, storage, telephony and voice equipment and solutions along with the associated management and monitoring software applications.

Essential Experience

Expert proficiency in between 1 and 3 of the following technologies and a good working knowledge in as many of the following technologies as possible:Networking protocols and technologies to include routing, switching and firewall/security mechanismsAbility to configure, maintain and support routing and switching technologiesAbility to configure, maintain and support firewall technologiesAbility to configure, maintain and support server and storage technologiesUnderstanding of common telephone and voice over IP services and technologies and abilitiesUnderstanding of how peripheral devices interact with PC/laptops and common problems etcUnderstand common server and storage technologies and functionalitiesBasic understanding of CortexBasic understanding of Airwave /radio systemsIf you are interested in this role please send me your up to date CV to or call Jonny Dent at People Source Consulting on DD,0117 9309 767.
