Infrastructure Engineer - Telephony/Wintel - Redhill - Salary up to £65kpa DOE

Spring Technology is currently working in partnership with a global leading energy provider to hire a new Infrastructure Engineer. My client has enjoyed great commercial success and wishes to expand their team. As the successful individual, you'll be joining a dynamic commercial department to help discover and resolve any issues the business faces.

My client's technology infrastructure supports over 1000 desktops (physical & VDI), and around 300 physical and virtual servers.

In this role, you will be expected to occasionally work anti-social hours (i.e. between 18:00-08:00 and weekends.) and be part of an IT on-call rota, providing out of hours support for critical Infrastructure & Services

Role responsibilities, but not limited to:

*Proactively maintain and support the IT infrastructure.

*Investigate and attempt to resolve, Incidents/Requests/Changes, and when appropriate escalate to relevant L3 resources (Internal/External) as needed.

*Display leadership in area of specialisation (e.g. championing new features)

*To provide technical advice and guidance to in-house and external suppliers on building, delivering, implementing and supporting own area of expertise.

*Participate in business & IT projects.

*Ensure all IT Infrastructure is maintained at the correct patch levels and configuration, minimising risks to the business.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills:

*Solid experience of AVAYA IP telephony implementations, support and administration. Avaya certifications will be an advantage.

*Telephone Call Center configuration & management, including; CRM & email integration.

*Management of Voicemail & Call recording systems

*Network Infrastructure (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, SIP trunks, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches firewalls etc.)

*General Windows & Active Directory administration skills to MCSE standard (Server/Desktop O/S)

*Storage and backup Infrastructure/Technologies (SAN/NAS CIFS, iSCSI, EMC etc.)

*SCCM software deployment skills and awareness of software packaging and patch management

*Email and unified communications technologies and mail filtering tools

*VMWARE administration - provisioning desktops, maintaining OS templates, updating ESX servers

*Web filtering and ISA server administration (eg WebSense, ISA Server)
