P6 Planner (Rail/Highways)£350-400 p/d (LTD/Umbrella) 18 Month FTCStart ASAPCentral London Are you an experienced P6 Planner looking for your next immediately available long term contract role with a well-established company who are working on prestigious projects UK wide?My client is a leading advertising company who have won several big contracts recently and as such on offer is a fantastic opportunity to work for an exceptional blue chip company. With a great salary and package on offer this is an exciting time to join the company in a long term contract role.The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in A P6 Planner role in the creating of complex schedules and comprehensive programme delivery within a Rail / Highways environment.

The Role:

Primavera P6 Programme Planner to deliver the planning function and deployment of assets on Rail & Highways projects

Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of detailed deployment plansWorking closely with the commercial and operational functions and be a strong part of the deployment teamProduce detailed trackers to be used to collect and report progress made on a weekly/monthly basisWork closely with the project team to maximise the potential of each project, attend site meetings when necessary to discuss progress and update the project plan together with reporting back on any knock-on effectsDevelop the programme into a fully integrated Design, procurement and project programme in co-ordination with the project teamAssess the effects of changes to the contract programme and advice the management if any delay notices/Early warnings are to be raised for extension of time on the projectAssess the Contractor(s) programmes for compliance with the Contract programme and practicability of tasks, durations, critical paths, etc.Conduct programme audits as required by management and submit independent report.Troubleshooting of problems resulting from schedule content or planning tool limitations. The Person: Ability to articulate complex information and issues in an impactful wayTo work with internal and/or external clients and partners to understand their priorities, issues and success measuresTo understand, respect and respond to others priorities and needs, working in partnership to achieve best outcome that benefits the organisation as a wholeStakeholder management experience with excellent written and verbal communication skillsExpert in the sequencing of works in commercial and mixed use construction projects - ideally Rail & Highway2 - 3years experience of creating complex schedules and comprehensive programme delivery Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts construction, and NEC processesDetailed knowledge and experience of managing and maintaining a works programmeHave demonstrable experience of using Earned Value Management Systems. Primavera (P6) skills and/or have demonstrable skills in the use of other planning tools such as MS ProjectHND/HNC level education in a Business/Finance/Engineering discipline or equivalentTechnically Astute in ideally all three of ASTA Power project, Primavera P6 and MSP This role is for a start ASAP so please send your CV for the attention of Sarah Hibberd to be considered for the role.
