One of our public sector clients is seeking a Policy Officer to joining their Birmingham office on a 6 month fixed term basis. You will be responsible for reviewing, drafting and updating policies, ensuring that these are streamlined, clear, legally compliant and easy to navigate. You will also contribute to the internal policy communication plan.
Policy Officer duties include, but not limited to:
*Reviewing, updating and drafting policies
*Ensuring policies are streamlined, clear, legally compliant and easy to understand
*Support the development and implementation of procedural guidance for both managers and employees
*Identification of obsolete documents
*Support the consultation/negotiation process for revised policies, engaging with internal stakeholders
*Ensure that intranet content is up to date
*Taking notes of meetings to ensure there is a clear audit trail of decisions and consultation/negotiation discussions
*Ensure that policy documentation are branded and comply with internal quality assurance standards
As the Policy Officer you will be required to possess:
*Strong HR policy development experience
*CIPD foundation level
*Experience with consultation and negotiation processes
*Demonstrable experience of development, delivery and roll out of HR policies and procedures
*Strong experience using Microsoft packages, Office365 (OneDrive, OneNote etc.)
*Able to provide consultation/negotiation in the delivery of HR policies and procedures
*A working knowledge of employment law legislation
