Automation Tester

One of our Birmingham based clients is looking for 2x Automation Testers to join their growing team. You will be working alongside the software development team to re-platform and modernise their existing legacy product suite.

You will have ideally worked with mobile applications previously, with both a manual and automation testing exposure, and creating automation frameworks. The second Automation test position will work within a BI team, and so experience with database testing/SQL is required.

Automation Tester duties will include, but not limited to:

*Planning, executing, and documenting the testing of the software suite

*Test user stories as they're being developed, working alongside the development team

*Working with product owners to understand the business requirements, defining test cases and suggesting conditions of acceptance

*Identifying any data quality issues

*Providing quality assurance oversight of data flows and stores

*Updating regression scripts, and planning regression testing in preparation for release

*Building and maintaining the automation UI test suites for both mobile and web applications

As the Automation Tester you will be required to possess:

*Proven experience with functional testing and testing automation of web/mobile testing

*Previous experience with mobile testing using Appium

*Experience with selenium web driver and other manual and automation test tools

*Previous experience of testing web services and web applications and using API's testing tools (Postman)

*Knowledge of the whole testing lifecycle, including test methodologies, definition of test plans/scripts/execution and raising defects

*Strong experience with SQL

*ISTQB certified
