Role description:

Provisioning of an up to date environments plan including:Comprehensive overview of environments and their usage linked to relevant releases and release activities (cross-release view)Linkage of any 3rd party environments to B4C environments (e.g. OpenText Inbound)

Identification of potential conflicts arising from limited number of 3rd party environments, analysis of impact and identification of mitigation actionsIdentification of idle times that can be leveraged to shut down environments and reduce costsLiaise with external 3rd Party points of contact for environments management/provisioningActive management of the environments as per the environments plan, considering demands from delivery, test etc. on an ongoing basisProvisioning of an up to date log of Release versions per environment across all environments includingList of all environmentsRelease version available on environmentDate by when Release version was made available on the respective environmentForward Plan the release windows and cycles across the B4C estate from an environment's perspectiveManage risks and resolves issues that affect releases as they pertain to the environmentsMeasure and monitor progress to ensure releases are delivered onCo-ordinate release content and effort based on pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updatesProduce Deployment Run Books and Technical Implementation Plans/checklists. Release Manager must also be able execute against all these as wellRegular Release ReportingCommunicate release details and schedules to the programme as requiredNegotiate, plan and manage all release activitiesMaintains the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendorsContinually work towards making improvements in the release processWorks with DevOps to help develops scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releasesMaintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
