A Software engineer is needed to join a growing diagnostics company with a proven track record in developing breakthrough medical devices. Working from their office in Stirling, expect to have a real impact in designing and delivering, high quality, innovative products and connected care solutions. My client is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to work within their data agile development team who can make a significant contribution to the continued growth and success of the company. As a Software Engineer, you will be involved throughout the full development life cycle with responsibility in the development of information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions. You will be a divergent thinker who understands industry best practices and has experience with multiple coding languages. In addition, you will need to be a team player possessing strong analytical as well as technical skills and are able to communicate the logic behind technical decisions to non-tech stakeholders.Key Responsibilities TechnicalProducing code using .NET languages (C#, VB .NET) and upgrading, configuring and debugging existing systems.Maintaining high standards of design and code quality at all times, including but not limited to adherence to architectural, security and scalability standards and principlesTrack-record of using Apache Kafka and ElasticSearch for streaming data and event sourcing.To develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development life cycle.Be an advocate of automation, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery and supporting the teams in these areas.
