A well established financial service provider is looking for a Software Tester / QA Analyst to join them at their offices just outside York. The role involves testing both customer facing digital products and services as well as backend systems created by the development teams. The Software Tester / QA Analyst will work with developers, product owners and managers to produce and run testing plans. You will implement a robust testing approach within development cycles that will provide an effective level of assurance before releases.

This is a great opportunity for a Manual Tester looking to gain experience in Automation Testing

SOFTWARE TESTER / QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST DUTIES

The Software Tester / QA Analyst role will include the following duties and responsibilities:

*Test planning, estimation and design

*Requirement gathering

*Creating test cases from set specifications

*Liaising with development team in an agile environment

*Bug tracking and reporting

*Retesting

*Systems, integration, regression and UAT testing

*Testing APIs

*Querying databases to identify test data or isolate the cause of issues

*Using automated test tools - Webdriver, Selenium etc

*Create and maintain testing diagrams and supporting information.

*Training and knowledge transfer to the team.

*Working with IT and Marketing departments.

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with a strong background in software testing, with a minimum of 2-3 years experiencer with the following skills:

*Test planning, estimation and design

*Requirement gathering

*Create test cases from set specifications

*Liaise with development team in an agile environment

*Logging defects and writing detailed bug reports and participating in root cause analysis

*Retesting

*Systems, integration, regression and UAT testing

*Testing APIs

*Querying databases to identify test data or isolate the cause of issues

Desirable but not essential:

*Experience using Automated test tools - Webdriver, Selenium etc

*ISEB/ISTQB certification

*Experience working to the BDD or TDD methodologies

*Experience testing mobile devices

*Programming experience (Backend/Frontend/Scripting/VBA)
