Role:

The Senior Linux Engineer will be a key technical engineer in the delivery of the payment gateway services, utilising their excellent technical knowledge and experience to proactively define and develop the environment and procedures, and be an expert trouble-shooter for major or critical service incidents.

As a member of the Operations Infrastructure teams, the primary function of the role is to ensure the Linux and Middleware-based infrastructure is secure, robust, resilient and compliant to PCI standards.

Technologies:Expert knowledge of administration of RedHat products, especially RHEL 6 & 7 and Satellite 6Knowledge of the ITIL framework, vocabulary and best practicesExpert in Configuration Management with a strong background in Scripting.RHCSE minimum - RHEL 6Proven experience with Automating operational processes and build processes using tools like Chef, ansible or Puppet

Skills:Expert in working with Vendor technical support staff, including vendor development teamsExpertise in defining technical plans and proceduresHave a good understanding of the business areas and application / service components used and an appreciation of applications from both a technical and business perspective.

Desirable:Good working knowledge of Apache and JBOSS 6Experience supporting Java applicationsStrong skills in developing monitoring solutionsExperience working with cryptographic services and content
